Jayasree K. Iyer speaks at Call to Action on Antimicrobial Resistance conference in Berlin
Jayasree K. Iyer will talk about improving appropriate access to antimicrobials and indicators of success in combating AMR at the Call to Action on Antimicrobial Resistance conference in Berlin. She will also present the Foundation’s forthcoming Antimicrobial Resistance Benchmark, and how it aims to incentivise and guide pharmaceutical company action on AMR.
The event, organised by the Wellcome Trust in partnership with the UK, Ghanaian and Thai governments and the UN Foundation in support of the work of the Inter-Agency Coordination Group (IACG), will bring together national governments, multilateral institutions and civil society to focus on the most critical gaps in tackling the development and spread of drug-resistant infections, and to commit to concerted and tangible actions on addressing AMR. This conference will provide a platform to build consensus around the key priorities and to further coordination and cooperation across all sectors involved in addressing AMR and Sustainable Development Goals.
