Health Equity through Her Lens

Women’s health is more than a medical issue—it’s a matter of equity, access, and empowerment. Yet, across the world, millions of women and girls continue to face barriers to essential healthcare, particularly in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

Health Equity through Her Lens: A conversation with Leith Greenslade

07 March 2025

Today, I announce the launch of a new campaign called “Health Equity through Her Lens” which is designed to spotlight not just the challenges but also the solutions through the voices of women who are shaping the future of global health.

This campaign aims to bring together women leaders in global health, pharma industry, governments, and the investor community to share their perspectives on what can be done to advance health equity for women. Meaningful conversations with leaders will also highlight what the pharmaceutical industry and its partners must do to shape sustainable solutions for critical issues, such as women's health, which should be at the forefront of their efforts. Through personal stories, case studies and expert insights, they will drive meaningful change and push health equity to the top of the agenda for decision-makers worldwide.

At the Access to Medicine Foundation, women’s health has been a core focus for over a decade. Through the Access to Medicine Index, we’ve tracked pharmaceutical company actions on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), identified gaps, and driven accountability. Our research has shaped industry commitments, influenced policies, and spotlighted key opportunities to expand access to life-saving medicines. We are deeply passionate about advancing women’s health, actively participating in global dialogues, high-level panels, and strategic discussions to push for stronger commitments from pharmaceutical companies, policymakers, and investors.

The Foundation stays committed to advancing women’s health by actively engaging with key stakeholders.  Through ongoing research, strategic dialogues, and industry collaboration, we will continue to push for meaningful action that ensures women’s health remains at the forefront of the global agenda.

As part of the “Health Equity through Her Lens” campaign, I invite women leaders in global health, pharma, government, and investment, as well as those personally impacted by lack of access to medicine, to step forward and share your insights, experiences, and solutions on social media. Together, let’s amplify this movement, spark conversations, and engage global stakeholders who can drive real, lasting change.

Be the voice for change! Let’s make women’s health a global priority - through her lens.
