Sadhavi Chauhan to share Foundation’s insights at Indo-Pacific Regulatory Strengthening Program (RSP) Forum and Partners' Meeting

Sadhavi Chauhan, Government Engagement and Policy Manager at the Access to Medicine Foundation, has been invited to participate the Indo-Pacific RSP Forum and Partners’ Meeting. In presenting the Foundation’s work, she will speak in a Forum session themed around “The pharmaceutical industry’s role in combatting AMR.”

Date

12 December 2024

Location

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Co-hosted by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration and the Cambodian Department of Drugs and Food, this fifth RSP meeting will involve discussions around access to quality-assured medical products, communicable disease threats, and ongoing concerns relating to antimicrobial resistance and substandard and/or falsified medical products. The Forum will be attended by officials from participating National Regulatory Authorities.

Sadhavi has been invited to attend and speak at the Forum on 12 December 2024, during the session entitled “The pharmaceutical industry’s role in combatting AMR.” Representing the Foundation, she will introduce fellow attendees to the Foundation’s work, sharing our impact in the global health space, drawing on findings from various publications, such as the 2021 AMR Benchmark report and the paper published in May on antimicrobial R&D. She will also present the Key Findings, along with findings on infectious diseases, from the newly launched 2024 Access to Medicine Index.

Sadhavi will participate in the Partners' Meeting on the final day of the event, where the discussion will delve into cross-cutting issues, identify common interests and perceived gaps to improve the regulatory strengthening ecosystem.
