Steffi has experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including roles in Research and Development at Johnson & Johnson and Quality Control at Sanofi. Before joining the Foundation, she conducted research at the South African Medical Research Council, examining the link between the built environment of townships and cardiovascular disease among community health workers in Cape Town. She also worked at the Preparedness and Response Unit of the Belgian Federal Public Service Health, where she managed supply chains for pandemic preparedness, including the procurement of personal protective equipment. Additionally, as part of B-FAST, Belgium’s international emergency response team, she supported the procurement of field hospitals for deployment in crisis areas.
Steffi holds a master’s degree in Global Health from Ghent University, as well as a bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a master’s degree in Drug Development from KU Leuven.
