Meri Laitinen is a General Researcher at the Access to Medicine Foundation, with responsibilities across various research programmes. In this role, Meri provides expertise in data analysis and oversees technical areas within the programmes' research methodologies.
Meri holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen and a Master's degree in Global Health Research from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. During her Master's studies, she completed two research internships within the global health landscape, focusing on mental health interventions in humanitarian settings and stakeholder views on emergency obstetric care devices in a Kenyan hospital setting.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Meri worked as a Clinical Analyst at a consulting company specialising in life science data management.
