Luca is a medical doctor, having graduated from the University of Pavia, where he was a member of Ghislieri College. He holds a Master’s degree in International Health Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Before joining the Foundation, Luca gained experience across research and policy settings. During his studies, he worked on onco-haematology research projects at the University of Pavia, the University of Cambridge and Harvard Medical School, where he was an Armenise Harvard Summer Fellow. Alongside his research activities, he has been actively engaged in global and planetary health initiatives. From 2023 to 2024, he served as a next-generation representative on the Steering Committee of the Planetary Health Alliance, a consortium of more than 500 institutions based at Johns Hopkins University, and participated as a youth delegate at COP29. In 2025, he collaborated with the World Health Organization on the development of a technical report on medical devices.
