Emily Gauruhn is a Researcher for the Access to Medicine Foundation’s Antimicrobial Resistance Programme. Her research focuses on the area of appropriate access and stewardship.
Emily holds a Master’s degree in Population Health Management from Leiden University, where she specialised in the focus area ‘governance’. As part of her Master’s degree, Emily conducted a 10-month internship at the Access to Medicine Foundation, contributing to research and engagement efforts across various teams. Her thesis explored the global impact of R&D for new antibiotics when access to antibiotics and health system strengthening remain unaddressed, particularly highlighting the challenges in sub-Saharan Africa.
