Dennis Ross-Degnan

Dennis Ross-Degnan is a member of the 2022 Expert Review Committee for the Access to Medicine Index. He has been a member since 2016. 

Dennis is an Associate Professor at the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Director of Research at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. For over 30 years, his work has focused on improving health systems in the US and low- and middle-income countries, including research on behavioural and systems factors that determine use of medicines; on impacts of health and pharmaceutical policies on utilisation and clinical outcomes; and on appropriate methods for health systems research. Dennis has consulted extensively with the World Health Organization on issues related to access to and appropriate use of medicines.
