Claudia Duarte is a Research Coordinator for the Foundation's Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Programme. In this role, she supports the planning and management of the programme's milestones. This includes coordinating research activities, engaging with internal teams and facilitating collaboration with external stakeholders. Her research focuses on evaluating how companies implement access and stewardship strategies for both on-patent and off-patent antimicrobial products, as well as assessing whether they monitor the performance and outcomes of these strategies.
Claudia holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Health Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. During her studies, Claudia conducted research on a variety of topics related to health inequities, including her master thesis in which she investigated how individuals' health outcomes change after relocating to neighbourhoods with higher levels of income inequality using US census data. Prior to joining the Foundation, she completed an internship at Philips within their Access to Care team.
