Charlotte holds a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Copenhagen. During her studies, she completed two research stays in Uganda, where she worked on non-communicable disease prevention and community outreach targeting urban refugees, as well as clinical research to optimise inpatient management of severely malnourished children.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Charlotte worked for three years with EU authorities, concentrating on regulatory and scientific assessments for the safe authorisation of foods and medicinal products. She then specialised in field epidemiology by completing the European Programme for Intervention Epidemiology Training (EPIET) at the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) in Ireland. During this time, she also deployed as a nutrition expert for the WHO in Kenya.
