Anela serves as a Grant Officer at the Access to Medicine Foundation, where she works on developing new grant proposals and ensuring timely reporting to current funders. She collaborates closely with various teams within the Foundation to track deliverables and report on progress.
Originally from Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Anela holds a BA and MA in Political Science with a focus in Critical Theory and Political Economy from Macalester College and Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Programme. Prior to joining the Foundation, she gained valuable experience working with several human rights organisations in both the United States and Europe, specialising in LGBTQI+ rights and environmental protection. Notable organisations Anela has worked with include the Human Rights Campaign and Justice & Peace NL where she held the role of Programmes Officer.
