Amit has 20 years of research experience in health, life sciences, agriculture and environment sectors. At CSE, his work on AMR aims to eliminate antibiotic misuse in food systems and reduce the risk of AMR spread through, for example, antibiotic manufacturing waste, while keeping the ‘prevention’ approach and access to effective antibiotics at the centre of his work.
He engages with One Health stakeholders from policy, academia, industry and civil society. In addition to research, he communicates and builds capacity to drive change. He has authored several reports and articles and has been a member of multiple Indian and International expert committees/groups that aim to contain AMR. In addition, he works towards resilient agriculture in India that is good for nature, nutrition and livelihood.
