Abbi is the Executive Research Officer for the Access to Medicine Foundation. She is responsible for supporting Jayasree K. Iyer, Chief Executive Officer, with external engagements by providing research insights and analyses, preparing technical briefs and coordinating high-level outreach activities. She also contributes to other parts of the organisation with research capacity as needed.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Abbi was a PhD doctoral researcher at Swansea University. With technical expertise in exercise physiology and metabolic disease, she worked on devising preventative treatments for cardiometabolic disease through lifestyle modifications in post-menopausal women.
Abbi holds a PhD in Sports and Exercise Science from Swansea University, a Master of Research in Clinical Research (Diabetes and Obesity), and a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Manchester.
