Drugs companies must address ‘chronic neglect’ of women

The article notes that despite 50 years of progress, stark inequalities remain; the Special Report highlights critical areas where essential healthcare companies can do more to address access issues for women and girls living in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
The article also acknowledges our attendance at the recent UNFPA workshop in Copenhagen, where Emma presented the findings of the report: “There are key gaps in R&D for certain health conditions which are responsible for ending the lives of many women worldwide, especially in LMICs".
