Fatema Rafiqi to join panel at launch event for Citi GSP’s antimicrobial resistance report

The Access to Medicine Foundation's Fatema Rafiqi, who is Research Programme Manager for the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Benchmark, will join a panel discussion on the pharmaceutical industry’s role in curbing AMR.

Date

27 February 2023

Date

Monday 27 February 2023

Location

London, United Kingdom

Format

In-person

Citi Global Perspectives & Solutions (Citi GPS) will be hosting a launch event to mark the publication of its 2022 report ‘Antimicrobial Resistance: The Silent Pandemic’. The event will bring together experts from across the AMR field to join in conversations and to share insights and perspectives on how to get ahead of drug resistance.

The report was published as part of Citi GPS’s ‘Disruptive Innovation’ series – which looks at the latest innovations in products and services that are going to change sectors and companies.

Panel discussion

Fatema, alongside speakers from GSK and the AMR Industry Alliance, will join the panel discussion “What role does the pharmaceutical industry play in addressing the threat of AMR?”.

Fatema, as a contributing author to the 2022 report, will bring the Foundation’s viewpoint on AMR to the panel. Fatema will draw on key insights from the 2021 AMR Benchmark to discuss where the industry can and should be taking action.

The Foundation's Investor Engagement Officer Monica Thomas will also be attending the event.
