The Access to Medicine Foundation in Geneva for 75th World Health Assembly

In May during the WHO annual World Health Assembly, leaders working to advance global health priorities will gather in Geneva for a packed agenda of events and meetings. The Access to Medicine Foundation takes this opportunity to highlight the role of pharma in access to medicine.

Date

Location

Geneva, Switzerland

From left to right- Marijn Verhoef, Director of Operations and Research, Margo Warren, Head of Policy and Anne-Charlotte Douard, Government Engagement and Policy Officer

The Foundation team will be meeting with a wide array of representatives to discuss the Foundation's new Strategic Direction for 2022-2026, the plans for the next Access to Medicine Index, which will be published later this year, as well as new initiatives on access to oncology medicine and diabetes treatments.

The Foundation's team will include:

  • Marijn Verhoef, Director of Operations and Research

  • Margo Warren, Head of Policy

  • Anne-Charlotte Douard, Government Engagement and Policy Officer

The team will bring their expertise on what pharmaceutical companies can do to advance health security, promote Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, solidify the unique role of generic medicine manufacturers in improving access to medicine, and promote better access to antibiotics and antifungals for people living in low- and middle-income countries, among other key priorities.

Find out more about the agenda and topics of the WHA here.

Will you also be in Geneva during the WHA? If you wish to engage with a member of the Foundation’s team on global health priorities, please email Margo at mwarren@accesstomedicinefoundation.org.
