Bridging the health equity gap 

Nearly 80% of the world’s population lives in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), yet millions still lack access to essential health products including vaccines, antibiotics and reproductive health products. As global health threats continue to grow, closing these access gaps has never been more urgent.   

Over the past two decades, the Foundation has grown into a powerhouse for change, combining rigorous, evidence-based research with strategic engagement to tackle some of the most urgent challenges to healthcare access and affordability across LMICs.

Why your support matters 

Your support enables independent research that measures company behaviour, establishes industry best practice, and mobilises stakeholders. We engage directly with C-suites and boards of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, while bringing together industry leaders, shareholders, governments, investors, communities and partners to turn evidence into action.

Improving access to sickle cell disease care

Millions of people living with sickle cell disease continue to face delayed diagnosis, limited treatment options and fragmented care. The Foundation aims to develop a unified action plan that will strengthen access to sickle cell disease care across Africa by aligning priorities, defining the role of pharmaceutical companies across the continuum of care and creating a shared roadmap for action. 

Improving access for women and children 

Healthy pregnancies, safe births, and healthy childhoods all depend on access to essential health products. Yet millions of women and children in low- and middle-income countries continue to go without them. The Foundation works with pharmaceutical companies and partners to improve equitable access to the medicines, vaccines, diagnostics and other health products they need. Yet, a focused programme to advance access for priority populations would expedite action to help fill major gaps.
