Health is Wealth Summit: Anne-Charlotte Douard to speak on healthcare access in Africa

The Access to Medicine Foundation’s Government Engagement & Policy Officer Anne-Charlotte Douard will join a panel of development professionals and policy makers to discuss progress towards, and challenges involved in, transforming the financing and delivery of healthcare in Africa.

About the event

The Health is Wealth Summit series is an African-led partnership among the Africa Embassies, African Diaspora Networks and AfroEuro Foundation, aimed at stimulating people to challenge conventional thinking about development in Africa.

The Summit brings together African professionals and networks and Dutch institutions, companies, development professionals and policy makers to discuss progress and challenges of transforming the financing and delivery of health care in Africa.

Panel discussion

Anne-Charlotte will speak at the Summit as a panelist on the topic ‘Why do Accountability and Leadership matter in Access to Health Care in Africa?’ and will discuss the Foundation’s role in enforcing accountability and good practices by pharmaceutical companies.

The discussion will be moderated by Ama van Dantzig. Other panelists include:

  • Ify Ike - Principal Healthcare Consultant, Board of Innovation

  • Alexander van Ommen - Senior Policy Officer, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs
