Citi GPS webinar: Foundation to share insights on how responsible investors can help drive change in curbing AMR

Fatema Rafiqi, Research Programme Manager for the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Benchmark, and Investment Engagement Officer Bram Wagner, will join a webinar hosted by Citi GPS focusing on AMR and why investors should consider this global health issue.

Date

14 March 2023

DATE

Tuesday 14 March 2023

TIME

15.00-15.45 CET

FORMAT

Virtual

In 2022, the Foundation contributed to ‘Antimicrobial Resistance: The Silent Pandemic’, a report launched by Citi Global Perspectives & Solutions (Citi GPS). As part of continued engagement around the report, and to highlight the interventions required by different stakeholders to address AMR, Citi GPS is hosting a series of webinars. These webinars will serve as a platform for report contributors to offer valuable insights on this urgent topic.

Webinar

Fatema and Bram will be discussing the Foundation’s work on AMR, including how investors can use the 2021 AMR Benchmark to support their engagements with companies across the pharmaceutical industry.

They will also address issues that investors can consider to help incentivise pharmaceutical companies to take action in tackling this urgent global health issue:

  • Why AMR is a topic that responsible investors should consider.

  • The critical path to incentivising pharmaceutical companies to do more to innovate for novel antimicrobials.

  • How responsible manufacturing of antimicrobials can prevent AMR.

  • Why improving access to medicine can play a role in addressing AMR.

  • Understanding what constitutes good stewardship of antimicrobials.
