UBS and Neuberger Berman to co-host investor launch events for the tenth Access to Medicine Index

To mark the November launch of the tenth Access to Medicine Index, the Foundation will co-host investor launch events in London and New York with UBS and Neuberger Berman, respectively. The events will convene investors and company representatives from across the globe to discuss the findings of the 2026 Index for the first time.

Date

10 November 2026

Location

London, New York

On 10 November, the Foundation will publish the 2026 Access to Medicine Index, which guides pharmaceutical companies in expanding access to medicine in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The following week, investor launch events in London and New York will offer an opportunity for investors and company representatives to join the Foundation and gain a first look at this report.

At the events, the Foundation will share the report’s findings, insights and opportunities. Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Join global health experts as we explore material access-to-medicine issues and how these remain critical considerations for sustainable business practices.

  • Gain deeper insight into how industry best practices can be replicated by pharmaceutical companies to directly address systemic barriers to access.

  • Understand how our recommendations and opportunities can be applied to the investment process.

  • Engage in a Q&A session on the report, our approach and ambitions for translating our findings into action.

  • Connect with other investors who are members of the Foundation's Access to Medicine Collective Investor Engagement (AMCIE).

About the 2026 Access to Medicine Index

The Access to Medicine Index is a research-based publication that assesses, measures and ranks 20 of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies on their efforts to expand access to medicine in LMICs. Based on data related to 84 diseases, conditions and pathogens that disproportionately impact people living in 113 LMICs, the Index assesses pharma companies’ practices in Governance of Access, Research & Development and Product Delivery of essential medicines. This release marks the tenth edition of the report, which has been published every two years since 2008.

How investors use the Index

The Access to Medicine Index is viewed by asset managers, asset owners and analysts as one of the most credible resources for guiding pharmaceutical companies and other industry stakeholders towards responsible, sustainable business models and strategies.

The Foundation already works with more than 145 investor signatories representing approximately USD 22 trillion AUM through its Access to Medicine Collective Investor Engagement (AMCIE). Our engagement with investors has shown the critical role they play in utilising our findings to support and encourage companies in making concrete change.
