After the success of the inaugural World Local Production Forum, this World Health Organization initiative returns in 2023 for its second edition to tackle key challenges in promoting sustainable local production, technology transfers and, ultimately, improving global access to quality health products and technologies.

At this year's event, Access to Medicine CEO, Jayasree Iyer, is set to chair a panel discussion, titled: 'Leapfrogging Local Production in LMICs with Need-Based Innovation and Talent Cultivation’.

In her capacity as CEO, Jayasree will draw on the Foundation’s work, particularly insights from the 2022 Access to Medicine Index, to help drive an impactful discussion on how sustainable local production and technology transfers can help improve access to medicine in LMICs.

About the World Local Production Forum

With participation spanning government officials, international organisations, finance institutions, private sector representatives, civil societies, and academia, the World Local Production Forum gathers around 800 participants and offers attendees the opportunity to foster collaborative solutions and innovative partnerships.
