James Hazel joins Deloitte roundtable to discuss role of pharma in expanding access to medicine

James Hazel, Research Programme Manager for the Access to Medicine Index, will serve as a panellist at a roundtable discussion convened by Deloitte to share key insights on the role of pharmaceutical companies in expanding access to their healthcare products.

Multinational firm Deloitte is hosting an event bringing together investors and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry to engage on key issues around access to medicine. The event is centred around a roundtable discussion, “Access to Medicine: How do we move the needle?”, with James joining other experts on the panel to share insights on driving change.

James will provide attendees with an overview of how the Foundation mobilises the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies to expand access to their healthcare products in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), specifically the way in which the Access to Medicine Index serves as a tool to guide companies in taking impactful action. With the next iteration of the Index due for release in November 2024, he will focus on the newly released 2024 Index Methodology, including additions surrounding an enhanced emphasis on patient reach.
