Date
06 July 2023
6 July 2023
London, UK
Hybrid (invitation only)

In an increasingly complex and challenging financing environment, the purpose of the conference is to discuss the key factors and processes – political, economic, institutional – that influence current decisions on international financing of global health priorities.
In the session in which Jayasree will be speaking, the discussion will explore the role of the private sector and the various ways it influences decision-making through technical expertise, political lobbying and the ability to deploy finance. Panelists will also look at how the private sector’s role, and expectations of its actors, have changed following the COVID-19 pandemic.
About the session
The session will be chaired by Charles Clift, Senior Consulting Fellow, Global Health at Chatham House. Jayasree will join other panelists in the “Private Sector” session, including:
Rachel Silverman Bonnifield, Senior Fellow, Centre for Global Development
Pablo Morales, Global Health Systems Strategy Leader, Healthcare Funding & Financing, Roche
In her capacity as CEO of the Foundation, Jayasree can provide a perspective on how funders and financing organisations catalyse the progress healthcare companies can make in expanding access to their vital healthcare products.
Drawing on the Foundation’s latest publications, including the 2022 Access to Medicine Index and the 2023 Report from our Medical Oxygen Programme, she will be able to share insights into the role of global health stakeholders across various healthcare sectors.
