2022 IQVIA Africa Health Summit: Advancing Africa’s health

On Thursday 17 November 2022, Access to Medicine Foundation Community Engagement Lead, Dr. Mary Wambui Moehlmann, will be speaking at the IQVIA Africa Health Summit.

Date

17 November 2022

Date

17 November 2022

Location

Nairobi, Kenya

Format

In-person

The Summit is a complimentary in-person event which brings together inspiring clinical research and public health experts to share knowledge and exchange ideas about how to collaboratively advance Africa's health through data, technology and innovative research.

Mary will be joining Dr. Michael Lusiola, CEO of Kenya Biovax Institute, and Prashant Yadav, Professor and Senior Fellow at the Center for Global Development (CGD) & INSEAD, to speak in a session themed “Improving access to health products and technology – Focus on Africa”.

The discussion will be centred around disparities and inequities in access to critical and live-saving healthcare supplies in Africa. The speakers will, among other things, share their insights on circumventing challenges in the future by initiating local manufacturing of medicines and vaccines, and strengthening distribution networks and other supply chain capabilities – as envisioned by the African Union Agenda 2063.
