Meri Laitinen is a Researcher on the Foundation's Access to Medicine Index team. Her research centres on product delivery, with a particular focus on product donations, capacity building and intellectual property (IP) sharing.
Meri holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen and a Master's degree in Global Health Research from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. During her Master's studies, she completed two research internships within the global health landscape, focusing on mental health interventions in humanitarian settings and stakeholder views on emergency obstetric care devices in a Kenyan hospital setting.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Meri worked as a Clinical Analyst at a consulting company specialising in life science data management.
