Claudia Duarte is a Research Programme Manager at the Access to Medicine Foundation, where she oversees the Foundation’s New Programmes portfolio and leads the dedicated research team. The portfolio includes research programmes on generic and biosimilar medicines (G&BMs), diagnostics and diabetes care, supporting the Foundation’s strategic priorities to improve access to medicine.
Claudia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Health Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. During her studies, she conducted research on a range of topics related to health inequities. For her master’s thesis, she examined how individuals’ health outcomes change after relocating to neighbourhoods with higher levels of income inequality, using US census data.
Before joining the Foundation, Claudia completed an internship with Philips’ Access to Care team.
