Foundation appoints established global health leader as COO

As the Access to Medicine Foundation continues to expand its work and deepen its impact in global health, the appointment of Dorota Mazurkiewicz as COO marks a pivotal step in strengthening the systems and structures needed to sustain long-term growth. Â
With more than 30 years in the health sector, Dorota is a seasoned biopharmaceutical executive known for her impact across multiple disease areas. She has a strong track record of building high-performing teams and cultivating effective stakeholder collaboration. Combined with her understanding of the access-to-medicine landscape and her academic background in biochemistry, this experience positions her well to help the Foundation deliver on its ambitious 2022–2026 strategy and beyond.Â
Dorota’s appointment reflects the Foundation’s commitment to further enhancing internal capacity and operational efficiency. By overseeing key areas, such as organisational design, internal processes and operational effectiveness, Dorota will strengthen the Foundation’s executive leadership and enable CEO Jayasree K. Iyer to focus more fully on external engagement and advancing impact.Â
