World AMR Congress: Access to Medicine Foundation to speak on access strategies and responsible manufacturing
Date

7 - 8 September 2023
Philadelphia, USA

AMR kills millions of people worldwide each year, and this global health threat is rising faster than predicted. This requires urgent action, including understanding and addressing the various drivers of drug resistance.
The Foundation has been tracking company action to address AMR for several years, as well as guiding and stimulating companies to make progress on multiple fronts – from antibiotics and antifungals R&D, to expanding access to much-needed products in low- and middle-income countries, to responsible manufacturing of antibiotics. At the Congress, Margo and Martijn will bring these insights to discussions on key topics, joining other experts and high-level speakers in Philadelphia for the two-day event.
Since its inception in 2015, the World AMR Congress – which draws more than 1,300 participants – has served as a global nexus for AMR stakeholders to collaborate, innovate, and devise strategies to combat antimicrobial resistance.
Preserving solutions: responsible antibiotic access strategies
Margo will speak as a keynote panelist on "Preserving solutions: responsible antibiotic access strategies". The event will take place from 4:20pm to 5:00pm on 7 September. Other panelists include:

Boumediene Soufi, Global Head AMR, Sandoz
