The Evolving Needs of Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health

Access to Medicine Foundation CEO Jayasree K. Iyer is set to speak at an event in London on the morning of Thursday 17 March 2022, addressing the topic: “A Period of Change: The Evolving Needs of Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health”.

This live panel discussion, hosted by MHP + Mischief, will be chaired by Rebecca Moss, Life Editor at HuffPost UK and co-host of the weekly podcast “Am I Making You Uncomfortable?’’ 

Drawing on the Foundation's research, Jayasree will bring her perspective on the main issues affecting women’s and girls’ access to contraceptives and other health products. She will explore current global health trends on the topic and highlight opportunities for policy makers and industry to action to improve access in sexual and reproductive health care.  

Joining Rebecca will be a panel of leading voices in issues related to treatment and services for women, who will talk across many of the issues surrounding progress and choice in sexual and reproductive healthcare. This includes access to contraceptives and other products.

Other panelists include: 

  • Dr. Annabel Sowemimo, Community Sexual and Reproductive Health Doctor; and Founder, Decolonizing Contraception 

  • Mika Simmons, Co-Founder, Ginsburg Women’s Health Board; Founder, Lady Garden Foundation; and Host, Happy Vagina Podcast 

This event is the culmination of series of activities hosted by MHP + Mischief around International Women’s Day (8 March), including the publication of the report “Women’s Health: Making Choice in Sexual and Reproductive Health a Reality”. 

The in-person event will be live-streamed and recorded for online audiences.
