The Access to Medicine Foundation in New York for the UN General Assembly 2022

The 77th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 77) takes place between 13 and 27 September 2022. Margo Warren, Head of Policy at the Access to Medicine Foundation, will attend to convene with leaders, experts, and influencers across countries and sectors to discuss key issues around global health.

Margo Warren is Head of Policy at the Access to Medicine Foundation

Margo will meet with a wide array of representatives to discuss the Foundation’s new Strategic Direction for 2022-2026, the plans for the next Access to Medicine Index, which will be published in November, as well as new initiatives on diabetes treatments. 

She will bring her expertise on pharmaceutical companies’ role in advancing health security, especially regarding non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Among other key priorities, Margo will focus on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), in addition to better access to antibiotics and antifungals for people living in low- and middle-income countries.

About UNGA 77

The 77th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 77) will be held on 13-27 September 2022, at the UN headquarters in New York. The first day of the high-level General Debate will be Tuesday 20 September 2022.

The General Assembly is the main deliberative, policymaking, and representative organ of the United Nations. It is composed of representatives of all member states of the UN, which meet in annual sessions dedicated to discussions on current issues of critical importance to the international community.
