In-person

Responsible Investor (RI) Europe 2023 is a two-day conference that convenes leaders in sustainable investing to discuss the latest trends and strategies for creating positive social and environmental impact.

The Access to Medicine Foundation’s Suzi van Es, Investment Engagement Manager, will be attending the conference, where she will join a panel titled 'Antibiotic resistance: What role do investors have in addressing this systemic societal risk?’.

The panel discussion, moderated by Georgie Stewart, CEO of Tumelo, will focus on:

  • the potential harm from mass antimicrobial resistance (AMR);

  • tools and methodologies investors can use to assess AMR risks;

  • the practical role of investors in addressing AMR; and

  • challenges in engaging with companies on systemic risks.

Suzi will draw on the Foundation's work, particularly the Investor Action on AMR Progress Report, to discuss how investors can tangibly support global efforts to curb rising AMR and why it is essential that more investors work to formally assess and integrate AMR risks through a holistic and multi-sectoral “One Health” approach.

Bram Wagner, Investment Engagement Officer at the Foundation, will also attend the conference to discuss the Foundation's work on AMR.
