Sadhavi Chauhan to speak at the Hiroshima G7 Global Health Task Force conference in Tokyo, Japan

The “Global Health Multistakeholder Dialogue: From Hiroshima to Puglia” is an independent initiative formed to review the progress of the G7’s past commitments related to pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response (PPR)/resilient health systems. Sadhavi Chauhan, Government Engagement and Policy Manager at the Access to Medicine Foundation, joins key global health stakeholders to discuss and advise on the implementation of the G7’s deliverables in 2024.

Date

01 December 2023

DATE

1 December 2023

LOCATION

Tokyo, Japan

FORMAT

In-person

In 2023, the Japan Center for International Exchange (JCIE) launched a global health follow-up initiative to the 2023 G7 in Hiroshima, titled “Global Health Multistakeholder Dialogue: From Hiroshima to Puglia,” in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, the International Pandemic Preparedness Secretariat, and Wellcome Trust.

Sadhavi has been invited to attend and speak at the culmination of the initiative at an international conference in Tokyo, Japan on 1 December 2023. Representing the Access to Medicine Foundation, Sadhavi will engage fellow attendees on the Foundation’s work, sharing our impact in the global health space, as well as providing input for the G7 Health Initiatives.

She joins other key global health stakeholders, independent experts, as well as practitioners, to identify remaining challenges and create an action plan for the implementation of the G7’s deliverables related to PPR/resilient health systems. Following the conference, a report will be compiled to inform and supplement the G7 processes on global health.
