Moy Bracken to guest lecture at University of Leiden’s Drug Discovery Meeting

Co-organised by the Leiden Early Drug Discovery & Development (LED3) and Leiden University Center for Infectious Diseases (LUCID), the Drug Discovery Meeting brings in PhD students and academic scientists with a strong focus for drug discovery and development in the global health landscape.
Moy Bracken, Research Unit Manager at the Access to Medicine Foundation, will serve as a guest lecturer in the session titled “Bridging the Gap: R&D Innovations to Tackle Global Health Inequities.” During this session, she will present the Foundation’s work on mobilising pharmaceutical companies in expanding access to medicine in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Moy will provide an overview of the Foundation’s research programmes, highlighting how its findings contribute to addressing the ongoing challenges of healthcare product availability and affordability. She will also discuss the funding landscape of research and development and explore how innovations from major pharmaceutical companies can help bridge the gap in global health disparities.
