Karen Eryou to speak at Singapore Public Health and Occupational Medicine Conference

On 9 September 2022, the Access to Medicine Foundation's Head of Industry Engagement, Karen Eryou, will be speaking at the Public Health and Occupational Medicine Conference in Singapore.

Karen will be participating and presenting in a session on “Equitable access to medicine: Integrating innovation to achieve equitable access to medicine for all”.

Company Engagement Officer Nabina Ibrahim will also be attending the conference, which has an overall theme of “Reinventing Health for All” and features high-level speakers and participants from around the world.

This year's conference will explore the various dimensions of health innovation and the interconnectedness of public health, occupational health, and health technology in reducing inequity and improving health for all. It aims to look at the progress made in healthcare, as well as the challenges of addressing other health issues that deserve more attention.

Topics covered at this conference will include:

  • Keynote: Post-COVID-19 health system imperatives

  • Health innovation for all: Accelerating and translating evidence-based science into effective policy and programmes to ensure equitable access to healthcare for all

  • Equitable access to medicine: Integrating innovation to achieve equitable access to medicine for all

  • Health for the underserved: Exploring the challenges of achieving health in conflict and resource-poor settings; and novel and insightful strategies to overcome such obstacles to strengthen health system responses and ensure equitable health for all

  • Health for the workers: Strategies of ensuring and future-proofing a safe, health and resilient workforce
