Jayasree K. Iyer joins panel discussion on pharmaceutical industry's role in global health

Jayasree K. Iyer, CEO of the Access to Medicine Foundation, will join industry leaders at “Foreign Trade Day Healthcare Industry 2025” (Aussenwirtschaftstag Gesundheitswirtschaft 2025) to discuss the contributions and impact of pharmaceutical companies on global health.

Organised as Germany’s flagship foreign trade conference, “Foreign Trade Day Health Care Industry 2025” (Außenwirtschaftstag Gesundheitswirtschaft 2025) serves as a pivotal platform where stakeholders from business and politics converge to exchange insights on global market trends. This year's conference will spotlight the pharmaceutical industry's pivotal role in advancing global health and exploring how collaboration with local institutions and donor countries can drive meaningful impact. 

Jayasree K. Iyer, CEO of the Access to Medicine Foundation, will participate as a panelist in the session titled "Contributions and Impact of Research-Based Pharma Companies on Global Health." She will present key findings from the 2024 Access to Medicine Index, emphasising the steps needed to improve access to medicine and the vital role public institutions can play in this effort. Additionally, Jayasree will discuss how companies and investors can leverage the Foundation's research and insights to further drive meaningful progress in global health. 

About the Außenwirtschaftstag Gesundheitswirtschaft 2025 

The event is co-organised by GHA – German Health Alliance, SPECTARIS, and the German Federal Foreign Office. In collaboration with Pharma Deutschland, VFA, ZVEI, and Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI), the conference aims to provide an exclusive platform for dialogue with experts and decision-makers across all industries and sectors.
