Jayasree K. Iyer joins panel discussion at Fortune Brainstorm Health 2024 focusing on prioritising health equity post-pandemic

The Access to Medicine Foundation’s CEO, Jayasree K. Iyer, has been invited to serve as an expert panellist at Fortune Brainstorm Health 2024. She joins other health equity leaders to discuss priorities in expanding access to medicine and the role the rest of the industry can play to support.

The Fortune Brainstorm Health event will bring leaders in pharma, public health, investment and patient care together to discuss current challenges and potential solutions for public health issues. The 2024 theme centres around the intersection of business, technology and healthcare and how players in each sector can collaborate to advance progress toward health equity in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

During the event, Jayasree will serve as a panellist in a discussion on how equity priorities have changed in a post-pandemic world, with a focus on the ongoing shift to more ambitious standards of care globally.

Alongside other leading experts, Jayasree will draw on her knowledge, as well as the Access to Medicine Foundation's work, to share insights that can help inspire potential solutions to improve global health equity; particularly, how different industry parties can help support and expand access to essential healthcare products worldwide. 


About the panel

The panel discussion will be moderated by Deena Shakir, General Partner, Lux Capital; Co-chair, Fortune Brainstorm Health. Jayasree will be joined by the following panellists in the session:

  • Dr. Uché Blackstock, Founder and CEO, Advancing Health Equity 

  • Dr. Hala Borno, Associate Professor, Medicine, University of California San Francisco; Co-founder and CEO, Trial Library 

About the Fortune Brainstorm Health 2024 Conference 

Other sessions will cover topics such as how artificial intelligence will benefit medicine and healthcare, how climate change stands to affect public health, technology’s role in value-based care, and US-specific healthcare issues. Attendees will include C-suite executives from hospitals, insurers, pharmaceutical and device makers and other leaders from Fortune 500 companies.
