Jayasree K. Iyer joins panel at 2nd AMR Global Expert Meeting

Jayasree K. Iyer will join a panel exploring mechanisms for spurring antimicrobial R&D, and building consensus and commitment to tackle AMR from governments, NGOs and the public and private sectors. She will speak on the Foundation’s forthcoming Antimicrobial Resistance Benchmark, and how it will incentivise pharmaceutical companies to play their part. She will also talk about the twin challenges of addressing access to antimicrobials while managing their appropriate use in low- and middle-income countries.

Date

21 July 2017

The goal of the meeting, organised by the Health & Global Policy Institute, is to bring together global experts from public, private and academic sectors to discuss issues related to antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The experts will identify key challenges in tackling AMR, well as the way forward.
