Investor Action on AMR and AMR Alliance Japan: The Role of Investors in Saving the World from AMR

On 8 September 2021, Mara Lilley, Investor Engagement Manager for the Access to Medicine Foundation, will join a webinar hosted by AMR Alliance Japan, HGPI and Investor Action on AMR, to discuss AMR as an investment issue.

About the event
AMR Alliance Japan and Investor Action on AMR will host a webinar to increase understanding and share information about the threat of AMR with stakeholders in a variety of fields including infectious diseases, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and investing. Meeting participants will consider how antimicrobial resistance is currently impacting investments and how different fields can work together to tackle AMR in the future. This event aims to promote collaborative efforts between investors and other industries actively working to fight AMR.

Topics of discussion
Maria Lettini, Executive Director of the FAIRR Initiative, will present on behalf of the Investor Action on AMR initiative, of which the Access to Medicine Foundation is part. Mara Lilley, Investor Engagement Manager for the Access to Medicine Foundation, will also join the virtual webinar to discuss topics including: 

  1. How can investors apply an AMR lens to their investments?

  2. How can investor leadership help to solve the issues identified by infectious disease, pharmaceutical, and agricultural field experts?

  3. The role of public/private partnerships in tackling AMR

  4. Ways investors can get further involved
