Insights on the future of access to medicine: Mary Wambui Moehlmann to speak at IDA Monthly Meeting

Mary Wambui Moehlmann, Engagement Lead – LMICs at the Access to Medicine Foundation, will share her expertise as a guest speaker at the IDA’s monthly meeting on “The Future of Access to Medicine”. She will discuss the Foundation's engagement strategies with stakeholders from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), highlighting efforts to improve medicine accessibility.

Invited as a guest speaker at the IDA Foundation’s (IDA’s) monthly meeting, Mary Wambui Moehlmann, Engagement Lead – LMICs at the Access to Medicine Foundation (the Foundation), will provide insights into the Foundation's mission and objectives. Her focus will be on the collaboration between the Foundation and Ministries of Health, as well as local organisations in LMICs.  

During her presentation, Mary will provide updates on the Foundation's various programmes, including upcoming publications such as the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Programme’s August 2023 report on responsible manufacturing and the Generic and Biosimilar Medicines Programme’s first set of generic and biosimilar company profiles.  

Mary’s insights will delve into the Foundation’s engagement strategies, which aim to strengthen collective efforts in enhancing healthcare access in LMICs. These strategies align with those of IDA, which aim to improve the supply chain for therapeutics and vaccines in resource-limited settings.
