Foundation to host Health Equity event for US pharmaceutical companies and investors

The Access to Medicine Foundation and its SDG3 Collaborative are hosting a workshop for US pharmaceutical industry stakeholders focused on responsible business practices and strategies to address gaps in access to medicine in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Date

24 September 2024

Location

New York, US

The Access to Medicine Foundation and its SDG3 Collaborative, which represents 145 investor signatories with ~USD 22 trillion AUM, will be hosting a one-day event focused on integrating access planning into business models and strategies in the continued effort to move toward global health equity. The workshop will convene senior-level strategic decision makers from pharmaceutical companies and investors from the US to establish next steps that will have the most impact in closing current access gaps in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

While previous events hosted by the Foundation have focused on identifying and clarifying areas of opportunity in companies’ access strategies, this meeting will capitalise on those discussions, with a focus on translating commitment into action.

Facilitators will share insights on navigating regulatory landscapes, market geographies, and how environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles are being incorporated in investment processes.
