Foundation to co-host event at the Prince Mahidol Award Conference in Bangkok

On 2 February 2019, the Access to Medicine Foundation will co-host a special event at the Prince Mahidol Award Conference (PMAC) with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

During the session, titled '2018 Access to Medicine Index: What are pharmaceutical companies doing to prevent and control NCDs?', the Foundation will present findings from the 2018 Access to Medicine Index. 

Damiano de Felice, on behalf of the Foundation, will also speak in two side events at the conference: the first one on "Research & development of NCD medicines: how can affordability be built into the business model?" organised by the International Health Policy Program (IHPP) and the Global Health Centre at Graduate Institute of Geneva; and the second one on "Uniting Efforts for Innovation, Access and Delivery: A Global Dialogue" organised by the Government of Japan, the GHIT Fund and ADP/UNDP."

The Prince Mahidol Awards Conference (PMAC) is an international conference that focuses on policy-related health issues and takes place every year. The PMAC 2019 will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 29 January – 3 February 2019. The theme of the conference is “The Political Economy of NCDs: A Whole of Society Approach”.
