On 13 June, Damiano de Felice, Director of Strategy of the Access to Medicine Foundation, and Dulce Calçada, Researcher, will participate in the first “Saving Lives Sustainably – Sustainable Procurement in the Health Sector: Asia Forum 2018” in Manila, Philippines. They will present the Antimicrobial Resistance Benchmark and inform the participants about the activities of pharmaceutical companies to curb AMR, including leading practices and opportunities for further action.

Date

13 June 2018

They will present the Antimicrobial Resistance Benchmark, which is the first independent assessment of pharma company action on antimicrobial resistance, covering antimicrobial R&D, responsible production and appropriate access and stewardship. The objective is to inform the participants about the activities of pharmaceutical companies to limit AMR, highlight leading practices and opportunities, and trigger a conversation on how purchasers can move forward with sustainable procurement of pharmaceuticals.
