European Forum Alpbach: Investing in Innovation – Priming Europe as Pharmaceutical Location

The EFA brings together young people, leading scholars, thinkers, scientists, policy makers, business people and civil society actors from around the world to engage and contribute to the mission of shaping a stronger Europe and what this means for low- and middle-income countries.
This virtual session will focus on COVID-19's role in putting "the discussion about Europe as a pharmaceutical location back on the agenda."
Panelists will discuss questions such as:
How can we minimise current dependencies and avoid them in the future?
How can we guarantee a steady supply of medicine?
Can we initiate a re-industrialisation in the pharmaceutical sector in Europe?
What should the ultimate goal of a European pharmaceutical strategy be?
The panel will be moderated by Katja Gentinetta, Vice President, European Forum Albach.
