Claudia Martínez to speak at Responsible Investor USA 2024
Claudia Martínez, Director of Research at the Access to Medicine Foundation, has been invited to join a panel discussion at Responsible Investor USA 2024, where she will speak about how investors can play a pivotal role in influencing pharmaceutical companies to address global health challenges.

Hosted by the media platform Responsible Investor, Responsible Investor USA 2024 will bring together leaders in sustainable finance to address pressing challenges and share actionable insights on current sustainability issues. This year’s conference is centred on the theme, “Thriving in the rapidly evolving US sustainable finance landscape.”
As Director of Research, Claudia will participate in a panel discussion titled “The future of collaborative engagement in the US,” where she will highlight the importance of sustained efforts in advancing health equity. She will discuss the pivotal role investors can play in encouraging pharmaceutical companies to improve access to medicine, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Claudia will provide examples of how the upcoming 2024 Access to Medicine Index, set to be released in November, is being used to track and promote progress among pharmaceutical companies in this area. She will also emphasise the growing role of investors in this effort. To date, over 145 investors, managing more than USD 22 trillion in assets, have committed to leveraging the Foundation’s data and insights to guide their engagement strategies.
