Claudia Martínez to share expertise on local manufacturing at USAID workshop

Claudia Martínez, Research Programme Manager for the Generic and Biosimilar Medicines Programme, will bring her expertise to USAID’s virtual workshop, exploring strategies to enhance local manufacturing in LMICs. Claudia will focus on insights from the Foundation’s upcoming report, Generic & Biosimilar Medicines Programme 2023: Company Profiles, scheduled for publication on 26 September 2023. 

This report includes tailored Company Profiles of five leading manufacturers of generic and biosimilar medicines, accompanied by a dedicated section highlighting key findings that have emerged across these companies. Claudia will spotlight these key findings, particularly focusing on stand-out examples related to both the strengthening of local manufacturing and areas for improvement. Her insights will outline actionable steps for companies and stakeholders to harness the potential of local manufacturing, thereby improving local production and ensuring the availability and accessibility of essential medicines in LMICs.
