Claudia Martínez to guest lecture at Interdisciplinary Program in Healthcare Innovation 2024
Claudia Martínez, Head of Research at the Access to Medicine Foundation, has been invited to guest lecture students and health professionals enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Program in Healthcare Innovation 2024 on methods for improving access to healthcare worldwide.

Hosted by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Innovation in Healthcare (I3h), the Interdisciplinary Program in Healthcare Innovation is designed to ready students specialising in different aspects of global health to address the evolving challenges of delivering effective patient care.
Claudia’s guest lecture, titled “Progressing towards UHC: How to mobilise the pharmaceutical sector on access to medicine”, will focus on the challenges and opportunities tied to the pursuit of universal health coverage (UHC), a UN Sustainable Development Goal.
As Head of Research, Claudia will share insights from the Foundation’s work, including the 2022 Access to Medicine Index and Generic & Biosimilars Medicines Programme. Outlining the Foundation’s Strategic Direction, she will also discuss tried-and-tested ways of motivating healthcare companies to broaden access to medicines and highlight specific changes facilitated by the Foundation in the healthcare industry.
This marks the ninth edition of the Interdisciplinary Program in Healthcare Innovation, which will feature interactive sessions led by experts from academia, public health organisations, private companies and patient representatives. For more information, click here.
