Adrián Alonso Ruiz presents the AMR Benchmark at PQMD webinar

On 1 November, Adrián Alonso Ruiz, Researcher at the Access to Medicine Foundation, will speak at a webinar organised by the Partnership for Quality Medical Donations (PQMD). The webinar  aims to help global health organisations to better understand how pharmaceutical companies are responding to the increase in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and where further action is possible.

Date

01 November 2018

Adrián will present the findings on pharmaceutical company efforts to address drug-resistant infections, including their R&D for new antimicrobials, policies for ensuring antibiotics are manufactured responsibly, and approaches to ensure antimicrobials are accessible and used wisely. He will also discuss the issues facing the security of antibiotic supply, the underlying factors causing antibiotic shortages, and the role of pharmaceutical companies.
