Research Programme Manager
Suzanne Scheele is Research Programme Manager for the Foundation’s Antimicrobial Resistance Benchmark, managing the programme’s dedicated research team. She is coordinating the development of the AMR Benchmark methodology and leads the Foundation’s processes for gathering, scoring and analysis of company data.
Suzanne is an epidemiologist who comes to us with 20 years of experience working in public health, health policy, and the pharmaceutical industry. In public health, Suzanne spent 10 years in local, domestic (US) and international roles in a variety of agencies, including the WHO, with a focus on infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries. During her years in industry, she worked on issues of evidence to support access strategies with a focus on vaccines. In addition, she has held positions in policy and budget strategy around government-supported biomedical research, and in private-sector investment strategy and business development in early-stage life-sciences companies.
