Damiano de Felice

Deputy Director of Strategy

Damiano de Felice focuses on the Foundation’s strategy, including its long-term sustainability. He is an expert in the relationship between business, human rights and development, and a member of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Human Rights. Damiano is also the co-founder and co-director of Measuring Business & Human Rights, an innovative research project with official support from the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights. Damiano is the first point of contact for inquiries regarding the Foundation’s investor statement.

The Measuring Business & Human Rights project aims to advance the capacity of business managers and corporate stakeholders to assess whether companies are fulfilling responsibilities regarding human rights. Damiano has a PhD in International Relations at the London School of Economics, and two Masters in Political Science and International Relations (from the University of Pisa and the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies respectively). During his career, Damiano has advised international organizations, companies, governments and NGOs, published several academic papers on human rights and development issues and delivered a TEDx talk on the corporate responsibility to respect human rights.
