Marina Plazas Domènech

Marina Plazas Domènech is a Researcher at the Access to Medicine Foundation, working as part of the Expanding Access and Pricing Unit. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona, where she specialised in Industry and Research, and conducted experimental research on a personalised therapy for HER2+ breast cancer. She also holds a Master’s degree in Global Health from Maastricht University, where she completed a thesis on the association between green spaces and mental health in Barcelona, by socioeconomic status (in collaboration with ISGlobal).

After her undergraduate studies, Marina collaborated with CCDT, a local NGO in Mumbai focused on tackling HIV in slum communities. Aside from studying, Marina has worked in different community pharmacies in Barcelona and has conducted an internship at SCIAS Hospital of Barcelona.
